Marta Bengoechea Uriarte and AndrГ©s Fondevilla's love has taken them all over Spain. The duo met in 2010 at a party in Madrid, got engaged on a secluded beach in Islas CГeson (after sailing, as the song “QuГ© Bien!” played), and married in Vizcaya. “We loved this place since the very first moment,” says the bride of CaserГo Olagorta, a beautiful restored farmhouse in northern Spain. Their ceremony and reception there, on July 29, 2017, were designed to be both emotional and fun. And while the planning process was very intense, says Marta, it also “revealed our passion, love, and energy.”
For their theme, the couple looked to their environment, selecting the nearby sea for the blue color palette and a star motif as the inspiration for their calligraphed menus and paper goods. In fact, they were so involved in the day's design that they tackled a creative DIY seating chart that referenced their engagement location (a boat!). The result was 150 mini origami creations that doubled as escort cards and favors for their guests.
In short, this romantic wedding was a labor of love from the bride and groom. Keep reading to see how they planned and created such a beautiful event, with the help of Sara Lobla, who captured it perfectly!

The bride wore emerald studs by SuГЎrez, which she paired with a rose-gold engagement ring and regal crown.

Marta's dress, by Marcela Mansergas, featured a tight bodice and an embroidered tulle skirt. It was the first gown she tried on-and the only one she fell totally in love with.

The bride added a glamorous crown headdress by Suma Cruz, which looked dramatic and perfect next to her cathedral-length veil.

For the big day, AndrГ©s donned a suit and cuff links by Scalpers and a tie and socks by Drake's. He also wore a Frederique Constant wristwatch that was an engagement present from his bride.

The flower girls wore white dresses with gold belts from Tizzas (bought at El Corte InglГ©s) and flower crowns from Fiore Bilbao.

Marta and AndrГ©s set the scene for their outdoor ceremony by lining the aisle with large woven baskets filled with wildflowers.

Marta's father walked her down the aisle as Jairom Black played Elvis Presley's “Falling in Love With You.” The bride and her father selected the song because they used to dance to it when Marta was a little girl.

The pair recited vows they'd written themselves as 150 of their nearest and dearest looked on.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a mojito cocktail hour and mingled with one another-and, of course, the bride and groom!

“The seating chart was handmade by us, and they were little paper boats,” says Marta of their DIY project, which guests took home after the festivities.

Before guests sat for the dinner at round tables, they danced to the music of band Jairom Black and sipped on drinks served by a barman from La Mula de MoscГє.

The evening's dinner selections-calligraphed on menus featuring the couple's sea and stars inspo-included lobster salad with mango, sirloin, and Olagorta cake, which is made with puff pastry and custard cream. “All the guests loved the food,” says Marta.

Like the bride's bouquet, the flowers for their wedding were casual, with lavender and wildflowers. The table centerpieces incorporated candles and moss under glass domes.

The newlyweds' first dance under a romantic strand of lights was, appropriately, to the song Andrés played when he first dropped to one knee to propose: Izal's “Qué Bien!” “It's one of the highlights of the day,” says the bride.
