The royal wedding will undoubtedly be a star-studded event, but it seems that at least one royal will be left out of the festivities: The newest member of the growing royal family, Prince Louis Arthur Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton's son, will reportedly not be in attendance at the wedding of his uncle Prince Harry to Meghan Markle on May 19.

The young prince will likely have to be content with the family's nanny for the evening, as it has been confirmed that Middleton will be in attendance at the ceremony only four weeks after giving birth to her third child.

The newborn made his first brief public appearance at only four hours old, but the decision to keep him away from the fanfare of a royal wedding isn't that surprising considering how much the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have protected their children's privacy in their first few months. While more photos of Prince Louis may become public in the coming weeks, if patterns continue, we'll likely have to wait until the prince's christening in June or July to see him again.

If you're sad about missing out on seeing adorable kids in formal wear, fear not. While it was revealed on Friday that Meghan opted not to have a maid of honor or a traditional bridal party of her friends, finding it too difficult to make the decision among her close-knit group of pals, she will instead have a bridal party made up of flower girls and page boys-all of whom will be children.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are rumored to have roles in Meghan's bridal party, along with Prince Harry's godchildren and the children of some of Meghan's closest friends. The little prince and princess are more than ready for their parts, having played similar roles in their aunt Pippa Middleton's wedding last May. So not to worry: There are bound to be plenty of adorable kid pics to guffaw over in the days following the nuptials.

Prince Louis may not be the only notable absence from the royal wedding. Due to health concerns, 96-year-old Prince Philip may not be able to attend the ceremony, but he is reportedly making every effort to be present at the May 19 ceremony.
